Earlier this year the long putter has created a lot of controversy. Some player think that they should be outlawed and the players that use them love them. I say, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it! PING has a great long putter option. The Nome 500 long putter, which is named for it’s heavier 500g head, is designed for a straight back and through stroke. The head is made of a high-grade aluminum frame and a tungsten weighted sole to increase MOI to keep those putts on line. It’s very attractive looking from the top. A simple white line is a great contrast from the black alignment bar that it sets on. Making it easy to aim. The rest of the head is coated with a rich looking, durable nano nickel. In my opinion the best feature of this putter is the telescoping shaft. It can be adjusted from 44.5 inches to 54.5 inches to perfectly fit your height and stance. The upper grip portion of the shaft is graphite and with a quick turn of the wrench, it slides down over the lower steel portion. Making the adjustability a breeze.
Putter Type Long
Standard Length 49.00"
Length Range w/ Adjustable Shaft 44.50" - 55.50"
Lie Angle Range
Head Weight 500g
Stroke Type Straight
If you are looking for a top-notch long putter, may want to give this a go. And, yes. It does conform to the rules of golf.
